Nos dias 16, 17 e 18 de novembro de 2022 será realizada a oficina Diálogos sobre Monitoramento e Pesquisa Oceânica. Este evento dá continuidade às ações bilaterais iniciadas em 2021 entre Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovações (MCTI) e a Administração Nacional Oceânica e Atmosférica (NOAA) dos Estados Unidos.
O objetivo principal é discutir as perspectivas de intercâmbio das iniciativas em andamento da pesquisa oceânica, incluindo sensoriamento remoto e monitoramento in situ, visando identificar as oportunidades de comum interesse entre os dois países sobre monitoramento do oceano.
Esta iniciativa é parte do Programa Ciência no Mar do MCTI, que tem o compromisso de promover a pesquisa de excelência sobre o oceano e aplicar o conhecimento científico e tecnológico para a obtenção de benefícios ambientais, sociais e econômicos.
